According to the new regulation announced by Portugal, which came into effect on March 18, 2021, residency cards that expired or will expire during the year 2021 will remain valid until December 31, 2021, provided that the holder can prove they have scheduled a renewal appointment.
This decision does not affect individuals who have already received residency cards that are valid through 2022 or the following year.
